Elizabeth Henly - Widow

of Lamberhurst in the County of Kent

 

In the Name of God Amen I Elizabeth Henly widow of Joseph Henly  late of Lamberhurst in the County of Kent Yeoman deceased considering the uncertainty of this mortal Life and being of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be Almighty God for the same Do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and fform following(that is to say) ffirst I give and devise unto my niece Elizabeth Luck (Eldest Daughter of my Brother Walter Reynolds deceased) All that my Messuage or Tenement situate lying and being in the said parish of Lamberhurst and in the said County of Sussex called or known by the name of Brewhouse and now in the Tenure or several Occupations of my self Benjamin Baker and Epiphany Daniel to hold to her the said Elizabeth Luck her heirs and assigns for Ever Upon Condition that she and they shall properly and legally convey release and assure unto Daniel Latter of Bayham to whom I sold the same or to his Heirs and Assigns all her and their Right Estate Tithe property possession Reversion Claim and demand whatsoever she or they have or shall or may hereafter have claim or demand by any ways or means whatsoever out of or in or unto all that Messuage or Tenement called or known by the name of Tylehouse lying and being in the said parish of Lamberhurst in the County of Kent and now in the Tenure or Occupation of John Hickmett and Widow Baily or their Assigns And in case of Refusal so to do or of the said Elizabeth Luck or her Heirs suing for and recovering the said last mentioned Premises Then I give and devise the herein first before mentioned House with its Appurtenances to the said James Latter his Heirs and Assigns for Ever Item I give and bequeath unto Susannah Tolhurst of Lamberhurst aforesaid Widow the Sum of ffive Pounds of good and lawfull money of Great Britain and my Servant Maid Mary Tolhurst the Sum of fforty shillings if she continue with me until the time of my death both to be paid within One Month after my decease All the Rest Residue and Remainder of my personal Estate Goods and Chattells of what kind or nature Soever I give and bequeath One Moiety thereof to be equally divided for and amongst the Children of my Niece Mary Baily if more than One and if but One then to that One Child  And the other Moiety I give to be equally divided amongst the Children of the said Elizabeth Luck and I do hereby appoint my said nieces Elizabeth Luck and Mary Baily Executrices of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have set my hand and Seal the Eighteenth day of June in the twentieth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain ffrance and Ireland King Defender of the ffaith and so forth and in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and fforty seven Elizabeth Henly her mark
