of the Parish of all Saints in the Town of Northampton

 

I Stirling Gilchrist of the Parish of all Saints in the Town of Northampton Surgeon being at the time of writing this of sound body and mind do make appoint and declare my last Will and Testament in form and manner following that is to say I give bequeath and devise all my Goods Chattels Possessions Rights Hereditaments and Claims of every sort and kind whatever they are now or may be at the time of my decease to Ann Gilchrist Daughter of the late Joseph Robinson of this Town Innholder my dear beloved Wife and may the Almighty God and all Gracious God of Heaven and Earth give her his blessing protection and Guidance and if she should have any Children at the time of my decease living by me begotten may the same God Incline her heart to provide for them to the best and utmost of her Power and ability seeing as I have but little to leave I have withheld nothing of that little from her recommending to her in case she should marry again to endeavour to make some provision for the Children of our Marriage Signed sealed and delivered the Eleventh day of October in the Year of our blessed Redeemer One thousand seven hundred and Sixty six

 

9 March 1792  Affidavit by William Dickinson of Old Bond Street in the Parish of St George Hanover Square  in the County of Middlesex Engraver and John Woodhouse of Token house Yard London Banker as to due execution of the Will

 

On the Tenth day of March in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Ninety two Admon with the Will annexed of the Goods Chattles and Credits of Stirling Gilchrist late of the Parish of Twickenham in the County of Middlesex deceased was granted to Ann Gilchrist Widow the Relict of the said deceased and the Universal Legatee named in the said Will having first duly sworn to administer , Ann Woodhouse Wife of John Woodhouse, George Philip Gilchrist, Charles Dobree Gilchrist, three of the natural and lawful Children of the said deceased and the said George Philip Gilchrist as the Curator or Guardian lawfully assigned to Robinson Gilchrist, Daniel ffrederick Kelley Gilchrist, Horatio Thomas Gilchrist, Octavius Graham Gilchrist, Eliza Ann Gilchrist Spinster, Alfred Gilchrist and Caroline Gilchrist Spinster Minors and Emily Gilchrist and Marianne Ann Gilchrist Infants the other natural and lawful Children of the said deceased first consenting No Executor being named therein
