I am looking for details of my paternal great-grandparents
marriage.
John Greenslade b.1841 in Uplowman, Devon to Mary ( who's
surname on my grandparents marriage certificate looks like Caram
but in other searches appears to be Crawford ( Clumstock, Devon)
Their first child was Louisa b 1872.
John Greenslade was a gardener and had died before 1898. |

I am tracing the family of Johnston. My Great Great Grandfather
was born in 1821 in New Jersey. His parents were both born in
Scotland. His name was James S. Johnston.

Looking for
information about my parents and both sets of grandparents - but
all I can find is lists! Where can I see a copy of the actual
birth/marriage certificates?
I'm a freemason
living in Hermanus South Africa and want to find out if my
grandfathers were ever members of the Order.
My maternal
Grandfather, Harold Bowler, worked all his life at Tatton Park
as a gardener and lived in a tithed cottage on the Estate. The
owner, Lord Egerton, was the Provincial Grand Master of the
Freemasons but I think that may have been his father.

Looking for Taylor family members from Rochdale, and in
particular Littleborough, approx 1840-1950. First names are
William Henry, John (born around 1887 and apparently estranged
from family), Frank, Joseph, Christopher, Mary - all had surname
Taylor. All were related but don't know how, except that William
Henry was father to John, and I think Joseph and Frank were
brothers. William Henry was a 'slater and plasterer' or
'property repairer'.
Any clues will be greatly appreciated! |
